EKSPAN are structural engineering specialists, operating in the mechanics of movement control for large loads on bridges and in most structural applications. We offer full product and site support – from design, manufacture, supply and installation, to inspection, site maintenance and replacement work.

We are now looking for a Site Supervisor to join our Projects team. The successful candidate will oversee the efficient delivery of specialist construction works, including bearing and temporary works installation, expansion joints, and other structural works carried out by EKSPAN. This role requires technical competence, strong leadership, and the ability to manage crews and subcontractors while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety on site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Managing multi-crew or large-scale sites, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
Leading and motivating site operatives and subcontractors to deliver high-quality work.
Maintaining strict compliance with health, safety and CDM requirements at all times.
Setting up and managing secure, well-maintained sites.
Ensuring all works are carried out to specification, first time, without defects or snags.
Maintaining accurate site records and effective communication with Project Managers.
Providing guidance, training and support to less experienced operatives.
Ensuring correct use and maintenance of company equipment, tools, vehicles and PPE.
Upholding EKSPAN’s professional standards and reputation on every site.

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS (ESSENTIALS):

Proven site supervision experience within construction or engineering.
Excellent understanding of health, safety and site management requirements.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and at short notice.
Skilled at problem-solving and working independently on site.
Full UK driving licence.

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS (DESIRABLE):

Experience in structural or civil engineering works.
Knowledge of bridge works, bearings or expansion joints.
Relevant site management / health & safety certifications (e.g. SSSTS / SMSTS, CSCS).
