Formerly Glacier Bearings, we are EKSPAN, a leading provider of specialist civil, structural and mechanical engineering solutions. We offer expert consultancy, early contactor involvement, in-house design, manufacturing, inspection survey, monitoring and installation services.

With a strong foundation in bridge components, EKSPAN has grown its capabilities to include structural repair, protection, and strengthening. Our expertise covers diagnostic surveys, refurbishment and bridge bearings across the building, civil, and marine sectors.

Sustainability is central to our approach. Our solutions are designed to optimise material and energy use, delivering long-term performance while minimising environmental impact.

EKSPAN works as a principal contractor, specialist subcontractor, and supplier. Our in-house engineering design team provides full support across our product and service range. FLEXIBLE ENGINEERING

At EKSPAN we can act as either a principal contractor or specialist sub-contractor covering civil, mechanical and structural engineering, temporary propping and jacking, and permanent installations. We also keep several products as part of our in-house stock.

Bridge bearings play a critical role. Regular maintenance is essential, as malfunctions can lead to significantly higher repair costs. EKSPAN offers specialist, expert services to inspect and assess structural bearings, ensuring they are dealt with promptly.

Our experts can offer end-to-end support on civil, mechanical and structural engineering works. From road, rail, stadia, buildings, airports, marine and offshore projects, EKSPAN can provide hands-on design, construction and maintenance support. We have a strong track record of working with our customers on both large and small scale civil, mechanical and structural engineering projects.
