Richard Orrell completed, as part of the Ardagh Barnsley team, the gruelling 256 miles Tour de Ardagh Charity Cycle Ride from Irvine, Scotland to Barnsley, South Yorkshire – for a local charity Barnsley Hospice raising funds for their Comfort and Care Campaign.
The total route length of 256 miles was split into 2 rides over 2 days, 151 miles and 105 miles, on Friday 08 and Saturday 09 June respectively.
And here's the evidence . . .
A mammoth challenge by any stretch but made even more so by the fact it occurred the day after Richard’s return from a week’s hectic US business trip meeting API and FPT (Applied Polymerics and Fibrecrete Preservation Technologies). BUT all very much worth it as the Hospice has helped Richard’s friends and family over the past years, and now he feels he can give something back.
So far £3,372 plus has been raised and still counting…
See link below if you wish to donate – however no obligation to do so at all
FANTASTIC TEAM EFFORT - ALL WORTH IT IN THE END!!
